Rosso dei Colli del Limbara IGT has a taste structure in which softness and alcohol are accompanied by pleasant freshness that blends into a prolonged persistence and richness of flavor.

Grapes Muristellu 15-20%, Merlot 1-20%, Sangiovese Grosso 60-70%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%.

 

Yeld and climate 2.50 ac./5100 bottles. Typical Mediterranean, hot and dry summers, mild and rainy winters.

 

Harvest, vinification, maturation and refining It is operated manually starting in September. Soft pressing to preserve fragrance and aromas. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine is left in contact with its lees for several months before being bottled. Each varietal is vinificated separately and then blended in May following the harvest.

 

Color Amaranth red.

 

Bouquet While young it releases notes of red fruits such as raspberry, blackberry, blueberry and black currant; floral notes of violet and slight spiciness of liquorice.

 

Serving temperature 64°F.

 

Food pairing It pairs well with stewed or baked red meats, very good with mushroom or olives. Excellent with grilled vegetables and medium-aged cheeses.
